A Laureldale captain arrived to find smoke showing, and with the help of a neighbor who used an extinguish prior to arrival was able to identify the area with fire. Laureldale Chief 18-30 arrived and was able to knock the rest of the fire down with a water can extinguisher. At that time they were notified of a dog still in the house which 18-30 was able to locate quickly and get out of the house. Laureldale Engine 33 and Mays Landing Ladder 15 arrived to check for extension from the fire. Cologne Engine 54 arrived and assisted with ventilating the house. Units remained on location until house was ventilated. The dog was given some oxygen on scene by firefighters and ems.
