Today, we proudly celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and the enduring spirit of the United States of America. As we gather with family and friends to honor this historic milestone, the Officers and Members of the Laureldale Volunteer Fire/Rescue Company wish everyone a happy, safe, and memorable Independence Day.
If fireworks are part of your celebration, please remember that safety comes first:
π Leave professional fireworks displays to the professionals. π Never allow young children to handle fireworks, and always closely supervise older children around sparklers. π Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of fire. π Never relight or pick up fireworks that fail to ignite. π Keep spectators a safe distance away from all fireworks. π Dispose of used fireworks by soaking them in water before placing them in the trash. π Keep pets indoors, as loud noises can cause fear and anxiety.
Whether youβre attending a parade, hosting a backyard barbecue, or watching fireworks with loved ones, please celebrate responsibly so everyone can enjoy this special day safely.
From all of us at the Laureldale Volunteer Fire/Rescue Company, thank you to those who have served and continue to serve our nation and our community.
πΊπΈ Happy Independence Day, and Happy 250th Birthday, America! Stay safe and enjoy the celebration!
