As we gather with family and friends to honor this historic milestone, the Officers and Members of the Laureldale Volunteer Fire/Rescue Company wish everyone a happy, safe, and memorable Independence Day.
If fireworks are part of your celebration, please remember that safety comes first:
π Leave professional fireworks displays to the professionals.
π Never allow young children to handle fireworks, and always closely supervise older children around sparklers.
π Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of fire.
π Never relight or pick up fireworks that fail to ignite.
π Keep spectators a safe distance away from all fireworks.
π Dispose of used fireworks by soaking them in water before placing them in the trash.
π Keep pets indoors, as loud noises can cause fear and anxiety.
